Can I make an orange flavored butter chicken recipe but without using the chicken stock?

I want to make an orange flavored butter chicken recipe. I have some recipes that used a lot of canned chicken stock but I don’t understand how to avoid the chicken stock in them. I don’t want the same flavors again and again without that is why I am here seeking some new tried and tested recipes but without using the chicken stock? Can I make an orange chicken recipe but without using the chicken stock? How can I do so?
