My dad is 55 years old man, and he is a diabetic. Currently he weighs around 185 pounds, and he is 6 feet 3inches tall. The doctor has advised him to follow a healthy diet plan, which could also help him reduce weight. A friend of mine, who is also practicing medical, advised me to plan a diet with low gi foods for him, as it is considered quite effective for even diabetics. Could anybody please elaborate on these foods, and how can it help in reducing weight at such an old age? Thanks.
