I tried preparing orange cake recipe with chocolate in it, but it didnât make a great recipe! I tried it last Sunday, and none of us liked it. I have been making cakes for quite some time now, but I have not really experimented a lot with the ingredients. I do most of the mixing with vanilla cake, but honestly, chocolate when mixed with orange gave some pungent taste, that it could taste neither orange, nor chocolate! I mixed cocoa, milk and orange juice in a bowl, and I assume that was when the problem started. Moreover, I used one and half cup of cocoa, and a half-cup of orange juice, to just get the tint of it, but it didnât work well! I wanted to know from some cooking expert whether it could possibly be due to the orange not being sweet, or was it due to the incorrect proportion of chocolate and orange juice! Please advice at the earliest possible!
