A tangy sauce is made when all the citric juices are well blended in the food processor. Granny Smith apples are used for a trenchant flavor and orange segments are crushed in with red chilies to make up a fruity salsa base. The sourest coup is made when lemon juice is poured over it and then seasoned with salt and pepper for leaving you with a running nose.
The salsa could have been wonderful with a pungent dash of oregano, olives, and cilantro.
