The Rochester Wine & Food Festival presented by the Democrat and Chronicle and Century Liquor was a great success with great wine tasting and great food. Collections of 500 wines were presented by vineyards of California, Finger Lakes, and Germany. The Rochester restaurants also presented great delicacies of Pasta, pumpkin, appetizers, and barbecued dishes. The sole purpose of this festival was to raise funds for the critical care unit at the Strong Memorial Hospital.
The food and wine festival also encouraged winers to select wines marked very reasonably from $50 to $10. The winers shared their own experiences with wine, over a period and these experiences helped them to make wise selections of wine. However, 1500 tickets were sold for the event, so this leaves you guessing about the amount collected for the hospital. Thanks Democrat & Chronicle
