Could someone enlighten me on hcg food list?

I am struggling with my over weight problem for quite a while. One of my friends suggested me to include the diet from hcg food list in the daily diet plan. So I want to ask you people out there who have followed this list, if it is really effective! What would happen if I eat food, which are not in hcg food list during following the diet from this list? I would really appreciate your reviews regarding this food list. Thanks!
