How can I explore the white rum more? I make my tuscan cuisine influenced Pina Colada’s at home and I prefer to use a gold rum, like Mt Gay, and I really like them better on the rocks than frozen. My basic rum drinks recipe includes one 1/2 oz white rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, grenadine or some cranberry juice when I want lesser sweet taste and then float about 3/4 oz of Meyers rum on top of it. But now I want to taste something that will make me fall in love with the rum all over again. How can you help me? I want to explore the white rum more, what are my options?
