Salvation Army church had organized a free Thanksgiving dinner for needy. In fact, all those who were hungry also joined in the Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner was prepared by 50 volunteers for a countless number of hungry Newark residents at the Salvation Army Community Center on East Main Thursday evening. The eighth annual free Thanksgiving dinner comprised turkey, homemade dressing, and corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry relish, pumpkin pies, fruit pies, and bread.
Children, older people, and the young crowd had gathered at the dinner place. The best part of this dinner was that not even a single soul returned hungry…the purpose of Thanksgiving was fulfilled. Read More: Local Ohio News
