Are too many hydration drinks and diet drinks bad for overweight people?

I have been on diet cokes for last 10 years. I usually now drink meal replacement drinks, about 10 cans per week which have no calories or sugar. I don’t like coffee, but I do need a morning pick-me-up and for that purpose I use green tea. I am overweight by eight kilos right now and am currently 35. I am cutting out both sugar and sweeteners that are artificial. I agree that diet and hydration drinks are probably better than full sugar drinks but all that can’t be particularly good for me either. What do you suggest? What should I be doing? Are too many hydration drinks and diet drinks bad for my condition?
