Should I use grilled or baked salmon for my salmon recipe baked with pasta?

I love to eat pasta but I hate heavy and very creamy pasta as they are very difficult to digest. I want to know about salmon recipes baked with pasta which I can cook using less cream and lots of asparagus and pine nuts. What do you think should be the texture of salmon? Should I use grilled salmon steaks or should I go for oven baked salmon? Which of the two will enhance the look and the taste of the pasta?
