Are too many diet drinks bad for an overweight person?

I have been drinking diet coke as my primary drink, for about 10 years. I usually now drink meal replacement drinks about 10 cans per week, it has no calories or sugar. I don’t like coffee but do need a morning pick-me-up, so I started drinking green tea. I am overweight by ten kilos right now and currently my age is 30. I am cutting out both sugar and sweeteners that are artificial for a while. I love diet snapple, 8-10 a week, I agree that diet snapple drink is probably better than full sugar snapple but all that aspartame can’t be particularly good for me either. So, are too many diet snapple drinks actually bad in my condition? What do you suggest I should be doing? Which healthy meal recipes according to you might help me?
